Having led a sheltered life in London, Professor Jonah Mulray's life is thrown into disarray when his wife dies in mysterious circumstances. Although his wife had been living in Hong Kong for six months, Jonah's fear of flying had prevented him from visiting, but he must now face his fear in order to go and identify the body. When he arrives in Hong Kong, all is not what it seems, and Jonah sets out to explore the suspicious circumstances around her death. Jonah quickly becomes draw in to an unfamiliar world of crime and conspiracy and makes some disturbing discoveries about his wife.
