Each episode is built around a different habitat, among them deciduous woodland, heathland, meadows and farmland, and wetlands. Mears reveals links between the plant, animal and insect worlds, as well as man's role in the evolution of our ever-changing landscape. He also demonstrates world-class tracking skills as he hunts the species that best define each region.
