John Kennedy was born 1973 in Solihull, UK; his family immigrated to Australia a year later. At 19 John was put under the wing of one of the great Australian Abstract Expressionist painters, Ron Lambert (1923-1995), who had studied under Oskar.
Born June 29, 1940, in Sydney, he left school at 14 to enter the National Art School in East Sydney. After 5 years of study, he commenced a highly successful career as an art director and designer in New York, London and Sydney.
As a highlight of their 2020-2021 season, Camarada presents the world premiere of a newly-commissioned work by Tijuana-based bassist and composer Andrés Martin.
